Bede Engineering are a Specialist Fabricator and we manufacture Commercial and Domestic Spiral Stair Staircases as well as other Steel Fabrications including Straight Flight Stairs, Walkways, Barriers, Balconies, Balustrades and Hand Railing. This section of our website is to show clients a selection of various ranges of products we currently provide. Whilst we aim to take the complexities out of purchasing a Spiral Staircase we do offer a full design service should any bespoke work be required. To navigate the products simply choose a category from the sub menu to the left. Spiral Stairs come in the following categories:
Category A: Small Private Stairs
Intended to be used by a limited number of people who are generally familiar with the stairs.
E.G. Internal stair in dwelling serving one room, not being a living room or kitchen. Access to stair a small room or plant in an office, shop or factory not used by the public.
Typical outside diameter 1300mm to 1800mm.
Category B: Private Stairs
Similar to Category A but also providing the main access to the upper floor of a main dwelling.
Typical outside diameter 1800mm to 2250mm.
Category C: Small Semi-Public Stairs
Intended to be used by a limited number of people, some of whom may not be familiar with stair.
E.G. Stair in factory, office, shop or common stair serving more than one dwelling.
Category D: Small Semi-Public Stairs
Intended for use by large numbers of people, some of whom may be infamiliar with the stairs.
E.G. Stair serving a large floor area in a factory, office, shop or common stair serving more than one dwelling.
Typical outside diameter 2150mm to 2550mm.
Category E: Public Stairs
Intended for use by a large number of people at one time.
E.G. Stair in place of public assembly.
Typical diameter 2500mm to 3500mm.
